Meet the Team
Harvey Family
Nate and Courtney are Vermont natives who had always dreamed of having their own equine and canine facility nestled in their home state. Nate grew up in Wallingford and we are happy to have found our forever farm and home back in his hometown. Courtney brings many years of equine experience to the business and they live on the property with their young son.

Courtney
Farm manager & owner
BS Equine Science University of Findlay 2013
MS Strength & Conditioning Springfield College 2016Courtney has loved horses since she could talk and began riding at age eight. At 12 her parents bought her first horse and she spent a decade active in 4-H, VQHYA, and AQHYA, competing in both English and Western disciplines. She started teaching lessons at 13 and became a full instructor by 16, while also working on a dairy farm and competing in cow sorting, team penning, and gymkhanas for fun.
In college, Courtney majored in Western Equestrian Studies at University of Findlay, focusing on colt starting and training young horses. She competed in IHSA Hunter Seat before joining the Ranch Horse Team. Summers were spent expanding her hands-on experience as head wrangler at KD Guest Ranch, a loper at Allen Crouch Cutting Horses, and working as a farm hand and developing an equine and bovine badge program at UF for the local BoyScout Troop.
After earning her BS in Equine Science in 2013, Courtney continued training colts and furthered her education with graduate studies focused on strength training for equestrian athletes. She completed an internship with professional dressage trainer Bridget Olsen of BioRider Fitness, having the opportunity to ride through Second and Third Level dressage.
Since returning to Vermont in 2016, Courtney has worked training colts across disciplines and worked as a trainer and farm hand at Tuff Terrain Farms LLC. Owning her own farm has been a lifelong dream, and she brings years of diverse, hands-on experience to every horse and rider she works with.
